overall I like the shot - you could clean up teh stray hairs.

missing hand into the head looks a bit odd to me and makes her right ear look funny also

Oops, forgot about the stray hairs. :o Now that you pointed out that hand, it does look a bit odd now. :mamoru:

And I thought my skin processing was mild at most. :o

All I do is mostly healing brush and minimal blurring. Would you really have left in the blemishes? :dunno:

Edit: Oops wrong quote. Yeah, its 50:50 for my airbrushing technique. Some like it, some don't. Oh well. :o

Hehe, didn't really notice that before. Minus well edit that out if I'm taking out stray hairs.

First thought was that it looked great!!

I can see and agree with most of the comments after reading them though but over all I still think it's great work. Don't stop doing it! We all get better with every attempt....

I would shoot her face from above or below, or laying down and looking back.
A full-on square portrait doesn't flatter her face shape.

The processing is fine. The look is in vogue. Whether you like the look...is personal.
But what you've done is pretty good, technique-wise.

the forehead doesn't look nearly as bad (rubbery / fake / bad P.S. job) as her cheeks.

Ah yeah you're right, I messed that up, got lazy and didn't tone down opacity in that area. Will fix that in a bit. :)

Edit: Just made a quick tally, so far, seems I'm head on with the whole 50:50 thing with the PP. :o

Hehe, was too lazy to go lying down or standing on the stool to do other angles. :p I agree about the full-on not being that flattering.

i'd like to see more of her shape, use clothespins in the back to gather up some of the material.

Use highlight dodge brush in photoshop to whiten the background, especially the top portion.
