Got gas ... pulled over on a curb on an incline towards my left foot and back ... put right foot on the rear brake to stop the bike from rolling back ... put left foot down to steady bike .. stood up a bit more than I should have and the bike started to lean a little too far ... :wtc:

couldnt hold her so i let her go ... first time she's laid down ... fucking slut ... :hsd:

now i have an excuse to get a colored or chrome one ... :mamoru:

just had to vents ... :sadwavey:

Dropping them like that sure hurts the pride, but at least you didnt crash and get all fucked up or anything. Keep us posted on the rebuild.

Obviously shoulda stayed on it longer if you're laying the bike down. Or started on a 250.

You tipped your bike over, and cracked the stator cover?

I've low sided my RR on the stator cover and it's fine.

a low side is very different than a tip over ... the tip over is an abrupt straight hit to the stator cover and the bike is falling from an upright position, thus it falls "harder" ... when lowsides happen ... the bike is usually leaning over already and doesnt "drop" from a stand up thus the cover doesnt receive the same amount of impact ...

congradulations on your lowside btw, :coolugh:

I was riding toward Mt. Rushmore and guys were pulling over on the access road because it's a cool picture.

We came around the corner just in time to see a guy step off his motorcycle parked with the kickstand on the uphill side, and it went over into another motorcycle, that went into another motorcycle.....just like dominos.

Didn't know if I should laugh or feel bad for the guy.

here we go with the 250 bullshit.

the guy laid a bike down in a minor incident, and all of a sudden he's a fool for not having a 250, wow that's silly.

I feel your pain. I've laid down my share of dirt bikes. It's why I'm scared to get a street bike (even if I could afford one).

no biggie, as long as you can get up, pick up your bike and keep riding, you're good. I remember dropping my bike my first time, uneven street, trying to park the bike, lost my balance, in front of a bar/crowd too. Couple guys helped me stand the bike. It was my first bike too, '05 CBR600RR.
