The purpose of the site is simply a way for people who have motorcycles to find rides they can take. People can rate, comment and search for rides as well as add pics.

The cool part is, if you add pics for a ride that were taken with a camera that has GPS built into it, it'll store the coordinates and place them on the map of the ride.

Eventually the site will have more of a social aspect and people can find groups to ride with, etc.

For now, I really just have this part up so people can start adding rides. Then once that database fills up some more, i'll work on adding some of the other features.

I only worked on this for a total of probably 5 days. It still needs some design elements put into it, but i think it's pretty clean and easy to use right now.

I should probably go ahead and put the contact form up, i forgot about that one :o

Thanks. Not hard at all. I thought it was going to fuck me over, but after playing with some of their example code, it was actually quite easy.

Interesting idea. Once you get a little more content, I could see a front page with "Top Voted", "Most Ridden" etc. And then the social aspect with bike clubs, even riding blogs and bike info & pics. Feed it users through MySpace and Facebook groups, deals with bike dealerships..

Once registered, the main map should load up with a zoom in of their area. )didnt make an account so it may already do that).

Is there an interface to upload GPS coords? A lot of people record their routes on their GPS. Allowing them to upload that path may be a no brainer.

Maybe also show bars and clubs along the way that are motorcycle friendly.

Nice site.. and it gave me an idea ;)

Loving the idea. Would be awesome if it were geotargeted. So example I live in chicago, once I get to the site it'd be zoom in to a chicago area ride. Just a thought.

I think a forum section would compliment the site nicely. Other than that, I think I may bookmark it for when it takes off....

Yeah, the top voted, etc will come once we actually get some rides up on teh site and people start using it. We already plan on doing the social aspect of it like you mentioned :coold:

Intereseting idea. We don't currently ask for their location, but this would be a god idea. We will eventually have a way to upload GPS data, but right now we don't. At this point i'm just interested in getting rides added to the site while i work on more features. Cant launch a big site with no content :o

Yeah, that's a cool idea too.

Werd, you can already upload photos for rides and if they were taken with a camera with GPS on it, it'll place the photos on the map of the ride. The photo section will expand with time... letting people create albums, etc.

Yeah, one of my buddies said he'll be using this for his car.
