If you havent yet, DO IT
Not like it costs that much either. Only $25 a year for a limited time

They sent me something in the mail today. It usually slips my mind or I dont have time at the moment, but they made it pretty easy. All I had to do was fill out a small form and write down my credit card number.

Plus I get a free duffel bag (for range trips )
AND a chance to win an entire lot of 22 guns as well as a 22 gun safe to put them in!

Now if I could only find that Curio and Relic form thats been floating around my room....

I tried to do it online one night, but I couldn't find a way to have different billing and mailing addresses (I'm off at college) and honestly that stuff getting mailed to my parents . . . well lets just say my mother would not like it.

Q: How can I reduce the amount of mail I receive from the NRA?
A: Simply email the NRA at [email protected] or dial 800-NRA-3888 and request to be placed on the "Do Not Promote" list. This will significantly reduce the amount of mail you receive without affecting important mailings, magazine service, or your membership renewal.

You can join the NRA with an associate membership if you don't want crap like magazines from them. It is $10 a year. Click this link, http://www.nramembership.org/join.htm "Join the NRA" and you'll see it in the left hand column.

Q: What is the difference between Regular and Association Memberships?
A: Associate Membership has all the benefits of Regular Membership except Associate Members do not receive a magazine, cannot participate in NRA elections, and cannot hold office within the NRA.

Also remember that the NRA does safety, education and training, helps out ranges and people wanting to start ranges. The ILA is a seperately funded organization that does the lobbying for and against laws. http://www.nraila.org/ You might consider giving money to that arm of the NRA or even just donating there even if you aren't interested in membership.

True, however, I was looking for a homegrown Canadian gun lobby to join before I would join a US one, seeing as how my interests are better represented in a local one.

I dropped them an email through their "contact us" thing. Hopefully that'll work. If not, I'll give them a call later this week.

Edit: Found it! It's going out in the mail tomorrow.
