Wow 1.5 gig for the whole thing :eek3: Now I just have to figure out how to use it. I also just finished loading Server 2k3 and SQL 2K3 on a dual 2.6gig Xeon

can you still write C++ or C programs and deploy them without using .NET libraries/environment ?

Alex, with 2003 you can. They added what you think of as MSVC++ 6.0 into VS.NET 2003. 2002 is strictly managed C++ if I remember correctly.

UsualSuspect, what do you mean by SQL 2K3?

I believe in 2002 they only offered what is in the .NET folder in the below screenshot. Which is quite similar to what you'll find in the C# Projects area, all managed code project types. In 2003 you have many more options when creating a C++ project. Most of which are just like MSVC++ 6.0. Here is a screenshot:

    Good question...

    * INFO 450: Data Structures and Algorithms
    * INFO 491: Topics, Advanced Application Development

My topics class is a special class for only 3 guys working on a big research project. We just meet with our faculty advisor, which happens to be our dept chairman, twice a week to theorize on our topic and plan for the coming months.

I'm taking one other major class, a business class, but that's it. My others are gen ed type stuff.

I think 2002 was still a development release, 2003 is the final.
