I remember 10.3 seemed to be a little faster the first time I installed it, 10.4 isnt that impressive this time around maybe it's because 10.3 was so good....

    What type of hardware?

Is searchlight still indexing your HD?

    Did you update to 10.4.1?

    Edit:

It's been out for a while, but my software update finally "caught" it just yesterday.

I wasn't that impressed with 10.4 either - way too many bugs and issues that need to be resolved. I went back to Panther.
