Just how CRUCIAL is multivitamin intake daily nowadays? I've heard all sorts of new

    bullshit out there.

    I heard 95% of pills hardly even absorb upon intake when it comes down to multivits. I also get a wide range of nutrients all day long this time of year, so seriously speaking, just how crucial is taking that multivit everyday?

    just something new to discuss, I try to take a daily multivit after every workout with my shake but sometimes I do forgot.

    if you eat healthy and a lot of fruits, veggies, shit like that.. probaby not necessary. but it would never hurt either.

    Honestly if you read up on people who live exceptionally long you not find any mention of multivitamins. What you find is they eat very nutritionally dense foods.

    Taking a calcium supplement for example is virtually worthless. Drinking some milk is way more effective because it's got a bunch of shit in it that makes you absorb calcium. Same thing with oranges and vitamin C. So, eat some vegetables, good quality fruit, etc. with your chicken and protein shakes and don't worry about it.

    hmm.. even if i do get all my nutrients from my food, i'll still be taking my multivitamin. Don't see what could be bad about it :dunno: Plus i bought it already, so i might as well use it.

    I take a multi pack everyday. I ran out of them for a couple of months at one time. I couldn't tell any difference between taking them and not taking them. I just take them now because I'm suppose to.

    There is a such a thing as vitamin and especially mineral toxicity so taking too much is bad. Especially iron toxicity for men is very reachable and that's the main difference I can see between multi's for men and women (women = lots of iron, men = little iron). If you're already eating well and especially bulking (eating 4K cal +) I don't think it matters much. On a cut though I would almost say it's a must though, since you're getting way less nutrients.

    multi's only began coming out in the early 40's so there aren't any really old multi taker's to compare too.

    not too mention, people who are long lived haven't had the constant exposure to chemicals in their food & environment like people who were born more recently.

    whole food is by far the best way to get vitamins and minerals for sure, whioch shouldn't be a problem when bulking. but if you aren't eating much (cut) or well, then a multi would help
