And over the last month I've lost 9 lbs, which is yay... but then we did the body fat and I've only lose 1.5% which is BOOO. Everything is smaller, 14" biceps, 32" waist... Basically over the last month I've lost:

    9lbs
    1.5% body fat
    .5" on biceps
    2" on waist
    1.5" chest
    .5" thighs
    1" hips

forearms and calves are the same

I'm actually really worried, because last time I lost about .5" on my biceps so I've REALLY been focusing on my arms lately and expected them to at least be the same if not bigger. I'm 100% positive that my diet is just making any gains impossible, so I think I'm going to change it up. What I'm looking for is OTFNs thoughts on whether I should just say muscle be damned, keep losing till I can't lose anymore and THEN focus on clean gains or should I stop my crazy weight loss now, and while still eating clean start gaining and stop seeing any real weight loss?

I'm pretty sure most of you saw my pics and diet in my 8 month progress thread, but just in case:

My goal is to have definition in my abs, I don't want an 8 pack but I'd like to see 4. I want the flab around my pecs gone, I'd like to see where my delts stop and my biceps begin. It's all for looks, if I could look like jmezz I'd be very happy. I don't want so be uber like pur or bateman... I just want to be nicely cut, thinking along the lines of 8-12% bodyfat.

[IMG] That's jmezzs av. I know he has put a ton of work in and I don't expect to get there in just the first year of my working out, but as far as I'm concerned that's pretty much what I'm going for.

If thats your goal do you plan on getting waxed monthly? The reason I ask is I'm hairy and it's the only/best method I've found. Curious if you had any other thoughts.

My opinion doesn't matter on here b/c i've never posted pics (and don't know as much as 90% of the peeps on here) but I say keep cutting. As long as you are seeing positive body changes keep it up. 1/5% body fat drop isn't bad at all.

Yeah dude, focus on the mirror, not the measurements.

A smaller but very lean bicep with veins through it will LOOK bigger than a larger bicep which isn't as lean.

I.e. you'd be better off looks-wise with 13 inch arms with veins etc than 14 inch arms in their current condition.

Not getting discouraged, I just want to make sure that as I start approaching the end game I do it right. My strategy for massive fat loss worked perfectly, and it's still working but I'm starting to wonder if I should change my strategy up or keep on it till I've lost a ton of fat (with some muscle) and then focus later on regaining the lost muscle or if I should maybe take a break from the super diet / cardio and hit a little muscle now... that's all.

And I'm getting a little scared... I honestly cannot remember the last time I was 170 but it had to be @ like 14 or 13... I was a tubby kid. I'm not scared for health reasons, it's just... well it's WEIRD! And at this pace, I'll be hitting 170 before mid sept.

Well, no. I've been kinda looking into it but I just can't justify the cost. I more meant that he has definition, you can clearly see pecs and the outline of abs, and those like.. ab dimple things by the hips (no homo jmezz).

That's true, I'm not fat anymore. See this thread: http://forums.offtopic.com/showthread.php?t=3896541 for my 8 month progress pics... This is why I'm asking the question. Should I keep losing, or start doing more weights and less cardio + up my calorie intake.

 what can I say, I'm a realist. Of course if I could get one as a gift for christmas I wouldn't return it, but I know that I don't have the dedication required to really put in the time to get one... or do I? :eek3:

Wow, I'm in the EXACT same position as you are. I started off at 5'8 250lbs (looking very similar to your first pic) about 9-10 months ago and now down to the ~180 area (look very similar to your recent pic). I also have similar goals, I don't want to be huge, but I want to be cut/defined. I've been keeping at 30 min cardio/45min lifting 5-6 days a week, but am looking to make some changes in the near future.

Here are some of my progress pics. I still find that I have a bit of a double chin, I'm hoping that goes away as I lower my BF% more (I also here that it can be genetic in some cases). I have not used any supplements, but am thinking about trying to out AIFM
