    Pitted, so pitted
I searched but didn't come up with anything.

Last night I washed my car with meguairs car wash and a foam sponge that i had just bought. The only bad thing is, when I looked at it afterwards I could see swirls marks on the brand new paint? How did this happen exactly? What would be the best way to get rid of it? The car was finished two weeks ago, and I just couldn't stand it being dirty anymore. What should I do? Should I have waited longer? Will all paint have swirls regardless if its new or not?

Remove the swirls with DAC/P and SFP.

Meguiar's Dual Action Cleaner/Polish and Swirl Free Polish. Check the stickies at the top for more information.

Oh no! You're supposed let the paint cure for an entire month before even washing a brand new painted car. Nobody told you this? Not even the guys who painted it?

Washing or even waxing a brand new paint job will cause further swirl mark because the paint isn't completely cured yet.

    sorry.

That's not true. You can polish and wash as much as you want. Just don't wax.
