Hopefully some of ya'll remember me. Well, just graduated 061103. MCRD SD Plt 3038 India Co. 3rd btn. Hehe, I was a diet recruit cause I was 200lbs at 5'9. No biggy, weight loss for me is easy. Lost about 30 lbs.

Had a good time. It had it's easy and hard moments. Just enjoying my 10 day leave. Then I got recruiters assistance. I'll report to SOI on the 21st.

And thx to all teh barrachs crew for your advice prior to me going. I was a scribe and was tempted to post from my DI's computers...but eh. hehe.

    And teh pics:

oorah Insane India! Or, from what i've heard from boots at SOI, it's Intimate India now.

I was India. Let's see if you recognize any of these names.....

Captain McBrayer, Captain Rodriguez, First Sergeant Young, Staff Sergeant Good, Sergeant Williams, Sergeant Hernandez, Sgt Dvorak?

    Congrats Devil!

I'm only 5 minutes way from SOI so maybe i'll see ya.

Are you serious?! Accord hasn't left yet? When september rolled around I thought to myself that he's up at PI now. deng... so where is he? still banned?

And yes, I loved being a scribe. My DI's would pull me from training sometimes to do their admin work. My SDI even gave us scribes a 2 hour nap while the rest of the platoon was pt'ing. I made the firewatch list, and was hardly ever on it. lol

Still banned. His ship date is sometime in January. He had to do a new contract for some reason, and that mandated the new ship date. :hsugh:

I think kidhero's right. I figured we had that many cause we started out w/ 85 recruits.

HOLY SHIT!!!! 1st sgt. young was my company 1sgt. He's one crazy sob. bronze star recipient.

ssgt. good was my chief drill instructor. The way he sings cadence is amazing.

sgt. hernandez was my SDI!!! He's got a huge short temper. But oddly enough, he's was very nice. We'd always talk about mma, choppers, and girls.

And sgt. dvorak was my jr. hat!!!! Maybe you can spot him in the DI photo, he's standing right next to SDI hernandez. He made me "do the dew". lol :mamoru:

And yeah, we got made fun of as intimate india. The rumor of two recruits having sex has change all the times I heard it though.

he is a perfectionist. and they always finish last - or not at all.

"A good plan, violently executed now, is better than a perfect plan next week." (Patton)

My Company Commander at Warrior Transition Course when I came into the Army loved that quote. Whenever he would address the Company, he would always end by yelling "EXECUTE!" and the entire Company would yell back "WITH VIOLENCE!"

    Hahaha, amazing man.

I can't believe Sgt. Hernandez was a SDI. He was my 3rd hat whenever I went through boot camp.

Sgt. Dvorak came in our platoon halfway through the cycle, just as he graduated DI school. We gave him NO respect, lol.

Sgt. Hernandez always messed everything up, and even got in trouble for pointing an m16 at us once, saying "I wish I had a bullet for each one of you nasties."

First Sergeant Young...wow! There is just too much to say about that badass!

It's crazy how we both lived with the same 2 guys for 3 months.

Just so you know, Sgt. Hernandez has a myspace account. His name is "Marlon Hernandez" and he lives in SD. He replies to messages.

haha. at least you guys had a good catch phrase. One of our DI's would yell, "whats 38 good at?!!"

    "Sucking, sir!!!"

lol. And hour before graduation 1st sgt. young showed the company of him and his 1/4 Alpha Raiders in combat and giving a speech to his men. The guy is seriously a modern day william wallace.

I bet you remember sgt. hernandez's accent, huh? lol. I remember when we'd have SDI time, and himself and the recruits would take turns telling dirty jokes. Yeah, he did mess stuff up at times. He made the scribes do about 90% of all the admin work. And we stayed up for a long time working on the grad pack. Out of no where, he pulled us 3 main scribes aside and said, "from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you've done". That fuckin' made me stoked. We were actually his first plt. as a SDI. Unfortunately, we're also his last. He said he's stepping down to give others the opportunity to be a SDI. I think it's back door politics, and he got screwed.

And sgt. dvorak, dude...I think the majority of the platoon loved the guy. I know I did. He was awesome. He'd always give us adivice on getting promoted faster, financial responsibilty, and just making the most of your career. He's big into poltics and current events and always kept us updated on the middle east, and north korea. We missed religious services one sunday, cause we spent the whole morning in the duty hut w/ sgt. dvorak, talking about cars, women, tattoos, drinking, mma. Did you know he's still a tan belt and drives a toyota yaris? :mamoru:
