Just Got them v. Crunk

    just got my set of grippers from ww.heavygrips.com :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

    Now my question is, how often do you guys use yours? i want to make sure that im ot overworking my forearms

    good broly. what gripper is that closed? I crunk 3-4 times a week. Your forearms will adapt to the heavy load faily fast and even at your most exausted it wont effect your holding strengh to much. Now your skin hurting might be different but the HGs are pretty soft on the knurling so it shouldnt be to bad.

    Stupid question.

    What exactly is involved in a crunking session? Is there a set time to squeeze it? Reps? How's it work? :hs:

    I do random grip stuff, including grippers, at the end of each workout (3-4/week). I have also started doing 2 sets in each hand of the CoC1 to failure, I just started so I havent seen any results from the additional crunking. I started this after reading the Yoke article by Wendler and decided to see if my grip would benefit from the same volume as Wendlers neck did.

    It depends, I have a zip file of a routine/system on my comp at school that I would send you but I wont be back there for about 2 weeks. I got it from Grouch so ask him.

    5x5 type is good because it is a good intermidate. And you might want to start off with that just to build a base.

    For me I focus mostly on singles with a tough gripper, mainly my #3 right now. I will still do reps though, a set of 4 or 5 in the middle of the workout or even burn out sets with an easy gripper later in the week. Right now my work outs look something like this.

    Monday: 10 singles with a tough gripper, one you can't close yet. Squeeze as hard as you can and hold it to the point where you know its not getting any closer for about 3 seconds. Do that in about 45 minutes time.

    Tuesday: 8-10 singles and maybe some reps with a tough gripper but one that I can still close.

    Wed: same

    Friday: repete monday.

    I have a shit ton of grippers so I have a little bit more range to use

    I actually haven't even seen it yet. It was sent to my Charleston address where I live for school and I'm home in Naples for break.

    its a good price. They have been as low as 50$ though but that was a one time thing.

    thats the 100 closed , i can do that reallly easy so ill prolly open up the 150 and see whats up. just from playing around with this my fingers are already ripped up but ive learnt to deal with stuff lke that it wont effect.

    By chance, might I be able to find grippers locally? I just thought that it would be a great gift for my dad, but if I ship it obviously won't get here soon enough. I went to Copelands's and stuff, and their gripper are pretty damn weak.
