What do you guys think? Its got 4 gb of RAM and a G5 Processor running at 3.5GHz.

...but I really did order a 12" today with 768ram! I CANNOT WAIT TO GET IT

What should I do first when I get it? Not program wise, but is there anything I can do to ensure an even better apple experience?

Haha, what other advice can we give you other than software? Here's my list of must-haves:

    Adium
    Growl
    Quicksilver
    Mail.appetizer
    ShapeShifter
    Cyberduck
    gCount
VLC or MPlayer, whichever, or both
    Tomato Torrent
    Stuffit 9
    Toast 6 Titanium
    PopChar
    Norton AV
    BwanaDik
    Synergizer
    Firefox
    iLife

And then besides that, the apps you'll need anyway, like Office, etc.

    Congrats on your purchase!

That photochop wonder would be the most useless portable ever. You would need a portfolio case just to carry the damn thing.

    That's pretty funny. :)

I'm actually getting a 15" PowerBook for work at my new job in the next week...and I was actually thinking about buying one of my own a few weeks ago. Good thing I waited. :)

sensible IT dept and one of my primary responsibilities is internal support for a handful of apps that are cross-platform, so i have to have a mac and a pc to test stuff on.
