So I decided to take a Black & White Photography Intro class this quarter.

So far all we have discussed is history of photography, how film works, and a few composition tips and techniques. My instructor told me that a good camera to get for a first time user who isn't too sure if they like photography is the "Vivitar V3800N" with all the manual settings like shutter speed and focus.

Well I just got this today and unfortunately it is snowing way too much for me to get some film for it to play around a bit.

I'm looking forward to this class actually, and in a week or so I'll have some pictures that I hope you all would critique.

So I think the rest of the day I'll just browse the forums and take a look around. See you all in a week or so.

There are tons of inexpensive K-mount lenses out there you can use with your new camera. Have fun.
