Well I decided it was time to ditch my battered and broken aluminum case and go for a closed cell custom cut case. After putting a call into
Hardigg, I was told that my case would arrive in 3 weeks.

    Skip foreward to today.

Upon opening the case I noticed how light it is. The website says that the case weighs 19 pounds, but it really feels like 8-9 pounds. Another nice feature on the case is the fact that the two handles sit down in-between the latches to prevent them from inadvertently being knocked off. Theres also wheels on the end for easy toting to the range, or if your traveling, through the airport ect.

I really like how snugly everything fits into the case. There is absolutely NO rattling when I close it. The foam is very rigid, with a few plastic ribs running through it for support. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good case that you can run over, throw in the water, and even fly with. :o

Seems like they should have fitted the rifle more leftward in the case.

looks good, but :eek3: 3 weeks?!

I think I'll stick with being able to get a pelican in two days and then cut it myself.

Yeah, they really did a hell of the job centering the rifle in the case.

I'm guessing it was one of the AR / 92FS foam cutouts they used? :dunno: I've seen those on a few sites .

Thats for the 92FS, but thats at the house in NC right now.

As for the uncentered rifle. Hardigg fucked up a little and made the cutout for a 14 inch M4 instead of my 16 inch AR15. I didnt want to send it back and wait another 3 weeks, so I just customised it myself.

Hardigg > Pelican. Pelicans are great, but once you've used both, you'll appreciate the difference.

And you don't have to get them custom cut, you can order them from lots of websites for about the same money you'd pay for a similar Pelican.

How much do those cost? I need to get a good case so I don't have to carry everything seperately.

I paid about $240 for my case. And its infintely better than any pelican case. Closed cell foam FTW.
