    holy shit, this thing feels so much more 'stout' in build than the XTi, it's crazy.

    continuous shot is crazy fast, too.

    wow. can't wait to get home & put a CF card in this mofo.

    why did you get the 17-85 don't you have the sigma 17-70? my buddy has the 17-85 personally I like my sigma better :hs:

    I enjoy my 40D very much. Battery grip is not necessary at all though unless your external flash is not battery powered on its own

    I'm saving up for a 40D + 17-85 kit too :hs:

    undecided on the grip though, the XT you need it because it's so damn small but the 40D doesn't have that problem :o

    i left the 17-70 in guatemala with my sister ... ended up giving it to her for a xmas present. :o

    may sell the canon lens & get something else later (L)

    yep, that's what i'd sell it for. Canon 24-70mm L is a great lens

    I love the grip on my 20D. Couldn't live without it. is the wireless grip for the 40D still like $900?
