2003 Honda Rebel, my pops came up last week and got it for me. I really dont know a ton about bikes but he used to race them in the off season and said it would be a really good bike to start on. Next spring in think I am going to try to trade it in for a bigger bike. What do yall think would be a good 2nd bike for me? I wanted to start casualy looking for my next one so I have a good idea of what I want.

What style bike are you looking to get into? Sportbike, cruiser, dual-sport?

Congrats on the new bike. I would take the time to learn on your new bike before you think of a second. You probably don't have much riding time left up there in Ohio.

    .

Also you'll have plenty time ahead of you to decide what type of riding you would like to do and choose the bike accordingly.

should be a fine learner bike.

ride it for a while, and go from there to see what you want. cruiser/sport/standard/dualsport are completely different worlds.

Congrats on the first bike! Just wear gear. As the saying goes to dress for the ride dress for the crash...

Sounds like it will be a great first bike. As for the second bike, just as some already mentioned, ride this bike first then start "casually" looking. You might be surprised the more you ride and understand different bikes and your riding style you might want a bike that you least expect.
