He put me on a antibiotic cream and a benzoyl peroxide cream. He said that if my face doesn't make an improvement that he is going to put me on Accutane in a month.
He also commented on how I gained 9 pounds since the last time I saw him a month ago. :noes:

Wash with cold water w/ reg. soap. Then some OTC Benzoyl cream. Believe me it is bad. It kills my confidence levels.

okay, well, from first hand experience, let me tell you

using regular soap on your face is like using scrubbing bubbles to wash your car

you need to use something that is mild, but takes off oil, like neutrogina or any facewash like that

also throughout the day use something like witch hazel which is a mild astringent that won't irritate your skin

food has nothing to do with it, I don't know why parents still tell their kids that, because it is complete horseshit, but on the same note never go to sleep without washing your face first

my skin is worse than that :hs:

but anyway, like soko said- use a mild soap on your face, and if you find that you have issues with dryness after using it, a good moisturizer works wonders.

Don't use an astringent with alcohol- it will just dry your skin out and cause cracking/flaking/itching.

Drink LOTS of water. it does miracles for your skin.

See, i really do think it must be you're diet, cardio or something.

My brother had severe acne when he was a teenager (I'm 17) but my diet is flawless and I do daily cardio, which he did'nt (he just sat around eating pizza being an emo fuck), all I do is shower in the morning and use a face wash while having a shower.

My skin is flawless and tbh I like to think I'm the healthiest and best looking I can be, I also feel great.

I remember you're thread, you've basicallly broken out after starting bulking so does'nt that mean it's pretty obvious there's a link between that and you're acne?

I take 1gram of Vitamine E and C and 60MG of co-enzyme 10 with each meal and take a multi-vitamin, I also drink green tea whenever I can.

I have a 45 minute jog in the morning for before breakfest.

I seperate carbs and fats from my meals. The reason is that I don't want my insulin elevated when I'm consuming a large amount of fat/oil. I know even when I take fat or oil meals my insulin is elevated from other carbs I've eaten during the day, but at least it's not spiked like it would be from consuming carbs and the oil at the same time. The only carbs I eat with my fat meals are veggies in the form of cabbage, brocolli or some kind of mixed salad.

I drink half a gallon (2 litres) of water PER MEAL when I'm at home, or 1 litre when oer meal when I'm at college (because I can only carry 1 litre bottles)

My breakdown for the day is around 200g protein, 150g carbs, 100g fat and a good 60g of fiber.

    My fat intake is around:
    60g Monounsaturated
20-30g polyunsaturated in ratio of 2:1 omega 3/ omega 6
    10-20g saturated.

I avoid trans fats like the plaguage, though I may start to supplement with CLA (a trans fat derived from omega 6 sources, found to reduce bf and increase lbm).

Try sorting out you're diet and excersise and then maybe you're skin may clear?

Pretty much check out Udo's food pyramid:

    http://www.udoerasmus.com/pyramid/pyr_index.htm

Probably the best/healthiest and most research food pyramid in the world, not done by the goverment, so there's absolutely no pressure from food manufacter's to hype up unhealthy foods.

Sorry to rant, but that's my 2 cents on the subject of acne and nurtition:wiggle:

:bigthumb: excellent. with the appropriate cleaning products and a consistent schedule you should be fine.

I know it makes you feel self conscious but it's really quite mild acne. I didn't even notice most of it until i looked hard at the pic. (maybe the flash 'washed out' some of it, i dunno)

I got some pills, (cephalexin or some shit?) and the 5% BP wash from the doctor like 6 weeks ago. I've been using the wash a lot, and an otc bp cream when I'm around the house. it makes my skin dry, but i put lotion on when i go out, and it has helped. its not totally gone, but it has helped a lot.

I would seriously not consider accutane for your case. Maybe it's the pic, but it has to be pretty damn bad to make it worth going on that stuff cause it messes with your head severely. Also, diet for me was the best treatment for acne, though tetracycline and benzl cream was nice too. Cleaning up the diet will help with the oil most.

Its hard when I am bulking and so busy. When I am at the station I can eat clean but when eating cafeteria food at the hospital and school kills me.

Hahaha! I'm trying not to bust up but that's hilarious. He's going off on how his self confidence is down and then people are making comments about his eyebrows and the fact that the girl next to him is ready to run.

    Hahahaha...it's hilarious. :noes:

I was on Accutane, and that shit is magical.
You can't drink when on it. Luckily, I'm not really a drinker. It will forever change your skin for the better. I am so glad that I did it.
Note: Take a Vitamin E pill every morning, and use medicated chap stick. You'll need it. Alot.
