 Nice. How much did you get it for? Big 5 has Yugo M59/66 SKS's on sale this week for $160.

Well at least I'm not the only one who keeps turbos and guns in his bathroom.

:big grin: Nothing like a turbo next to the toilet. Look like it just came out of the factory to me. A little brake parts cleaner makes fast work of the metal and cosmo, but it takes a little more effort to get it out of the woods. Might pick up a little tung oil for the woods benefit if you haven't yet. How's it shoot? The only thing I don't like is with all the crap on the front it feels like it weighs a ton :big grin:

nice yugo, (it took me a while to realize this, but) remember, cosmoline is your friend(albeit the anoying friend you hate to admit you like). w/o it, your gun would be a worthless bucket of rust. cosmoline protects your gun. yes, it is a major pain in the ass to get rid of, but it's what's kept your gun in primo condition during all of its years in storage.

You can buy the gun, but just like any other modern gun, it must be shipped to a FFL holder. You can apply for a curios and relic ffl yourself for collecting that is good for older rifles like this. In a couple months you could have this mailed to your house. Otherwise you have it shipped to a gunshop, pay the guy there 20-25 to do the paperwork, and you get your gun. Crappy system since 1968 I believe.

I think some Yugo's aren't considered curios and relic but I may be wrong
