I am speechless. I mean how can these things be done on two wheels!

I didn't realize how much work cornering a bike actually was on the hands and feet. I had a Kawi ZX6R and man was it fun. The instruction was great, and I learned a lot. Later in the day I got more comfortable leaning the bike into corners and picked up a lot of speed. Best lap of the day on Nelson was 1.18.

If I made one suggestion it would be the sessions were 15 minutes not 10.

    Anyway enjoy the photos.

Toes on the pegs, not the middle of the feet. You'll drag toe.

Get your head and chest down low--lower your CG, the bike will be more stable. Hang off more.

    Twist the throttle more :bigthumb:

    Grats on the class!

How much does a class like this cost and where do I find them? I finished the MSF course, but want something to teach me how to take turns better at 30MPH+. I figure it's best to get professional advice while I'm still forming my riding habits so I never develop hard to fix bad ones.

    ;)

The course was $499 plus $99 insurance.

I've only ridden a sport bike for 8 weeks (CBR600F4) when I sold it and bought a cruiser (new Shadow 750). I'm going to buy to add to the cruiser an older sport touring bike.

When I got on the track it was only until the last part of the day when my heart stopped racing. I've been racing cars for 10 years now professionally at a racing school and this was completely new.

I have a LOT to learn. I still dream about the school almost every third day. Going to do two schools next year. I learned a few things that I only started doing the last session. Ball of feet on pegs, sit upright until 100+ mph (see the guy in the SV650), and tuck in with steady throttle. My corners were going wide because I was uncomfortable for the first part leaning and I was in the wrong gear the WHOLE DAMN DAY and the bike kept slowing down. I stayed in 2nd for the last two sessions and my speed was way up in the corners and that helped my confidence to lean more and reduce my corner radius.

Lots to learn!!!!! I haven't been so pumped since the first time I took my Camaro to Mosport.

I took the STAR school (twice actually) and one thing I picked up from there is being in the right gear and knowing which gear I'm always in (most ppl don't know). First two sessions were just working between 2nd and 3rd gear.

That helped eliminate the problem you're having :hs:

BTW, STAR school offers two up rides...
