That must've been an awesome trip. I've only been to Italy and Greece with family back in the day. I would love to go back with friends and just go through all the cities. How long was the entire trip?

    Those churchs look beautiful.

    Great pictures.

I need to put aside car modding and take a trip to Europe myself.

this was just me and my girlfriend. i basically planned it out, like where to stay, the type of transportation we needed, etc.

i think its more fun that way because you can be spontaneous and aren't being herded around like sheep by some guide.

I took a 1GB memory card along with a 128MB memory card. I filled the memory card up after London and Amsterdam so I found an internet cafe in Paris and burned those pics on a CD. The rest of the trip barely fit on the memory cards.

Don't bring a laptop cause you want as light as load as possible. You'll find plenty of cafes that burn CDs, search on google thats how I found them.

I would have taken more but it was raining and cold as a motherfucker that night.

this trip was a blast but it was so damn exhausting. by the time i got to florence (after london, amsterdam, paris, and venice) i was ready to go home. here are some pointers:

    1) paris, amsterdam, and london were very cold at this time. It was pretty much 32F the whole time and while that may not sound bad, it gets bad when you're walking around in that weather all day long.

    2) instead of buying a rail pass, we bought point-to-point tickets which were actually cheaper. and instead of taking the eurostar from london to amsterdam, we flew on BMI which was actually cheaper and faster.

    3) the trade off of the cold weather is that there are less tourists. it makes going to museums and all the popular sights so much better because its not crowded and you can enjoy the sights without some other tourist getting in your way.

    4) when choosing a hotel, use tripadvisor.com i chose all my hotels based on the reviews there and i was pretty happy with all of them. the number one thing, especially in london, paris, and rome is getting a hotel by a metro/tube stop. it makes going out so much easier.

    5) you can ride the metro for free in rome since its pretty much an honor system. you buy a ticket and stamp it then walk thru a turnstile. you can put in your own piece of paper (or an old ticket and stamp it) and walk right thru.

    6) i didn't see any drug-sniffing dogs on the train going from amsterdam to paris. thus, i had plenty of weed and hash for the rest of my trip.

    7) just go, get lost, and you'll have a blast.

sorry for the late responses, i forgot i posted the pics in this forum too. and thanks for all the compliments.
