so yeah, got a 24" iMac, and I'm loving it.

only one question. For some of the programs I use like ventrilo (mac version doesn' support gsm) while playing games, which route should I go for better performance on the game side. Parallels or Boot Camp?

    thanks

 Nice system. 24" looks good..

BEST performance will be boot camp because its native. Parallels is sharing resources with OSX.

boot camp, no question. I'd even recommend Crossover for PC gaming while in OS X before I would recommend virtualization.

I don't want to state the obvious but you could try to get your buddies to switch from gsm to speex... I've used vent on my macs without any problem at all using the speex codec. I don't know what the technical difference is but I can't imagine why they wouldn't change codecs unless they simply want to be mac-hostile.

Yeah, I've already tried. They switched for an old member and supposedly, it cause a lot of problems for the windows users.

I don't wanna bug em, plus I have a lot of windows games I want to play on my iMac, so it's not all for ventrilo.

Thanks for all of the help, boot camp it is. :h5:
