I didn't get anything for the holidays and i'm leaving for the Marine Corps exactly 1 week from Monday, so my mom wanted to get me a present and something that is special that will mean a lot that i'll always be able to have with me and use and all that good stuff, so she bought me this:

I'd feel ripped off if I paid that much for a knife with a paracord wrap. Wouldn't mind one of their folders though :o

Sweet knife, still can't justify the price though.

You have the option of paracord or G10. I chose paracord, The G10 version was only like $15 more expensive, and the G10 panels can easily be installed later on with 2 screws.

When you actually hold a Strider in your hand, you'll feel a lot of things but ripped off isn't one of them. You haven't held a knife until you've held a Strider... 1/4" thick S30V steel :wackit:. I feel like I could pry open my Champion gun safe with it :mamoru:.

If you want to keep it, I'd leave it at home for the first 6 months of your Marine Corps experience. Boots with knives are just like PFCs with a badge and gun, and 2LTs with a map... really bad news.
