....for my birthday. I told my parents i needed some UV multicoated filters. soooooo they went to Ritz and got me some Quantaray :)hsugh:) MC uv's. they suck and they ghost, despite the "multicoating". HOWEVER, the Quantaray professional series UV one is actually really nice. no ghosting or reflections, perfect optics, slight contrast improvement.

so there's my FIRST HAND Quantaray experience. admittedly, i was skeptical of quantaray stuff, as anyone should be.

I'm going to Ritz tomorrow to exchange the other two and replace them with the the pro series.

ib. lots of :hsugh: and :ugh: faces from a bunch of faggots who think you need to spend $60 on a UV filter

being careful with your lens > spending money on a UV filter

I was taking pictures today and there were periodic showers. It stopped raining, got out of the car and took a few shots of a bridge. The drop caught the wind and landed right on my UV filter making a nice brown halo from all the rust on the bridge :coold:. I washed the filter under water to get all the rust off, would have been a lot more fun without the filter.

you can't control everything that happens, though. it doesn't matter how careful you are
