Just found out that our "certified" Personal Trainer at our gym only has NETA.

NETA is pretty much worthless, right?

A little background: I work part time at my gym and we have been advertising our new General Manager as a Certified PT. Well last night he hands me this NETA book and DVD and says that's what he's certified in. I though I've heard that it pretty much sucks and is just an online thing. Anybody know?

National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) are the two toughest certs to get. Anything else is probably dookie

and even then you will still meet some real idiots

Certificates are just a means to put on a show for clients and make people think they mean more than they do.. Anybody with any inkling of effort can get a NSCA/ACSM cert. I've known some real real dumb fucks that have NSCA certs

CSCS is respectable because you at least have to have an education to get it. And from the materials I've read it's not easy.
