Actually I painted it on Christmas day. I took these today after I spent Mon-Wed color-sanding, buffing and re-assembling her.[IMG]

I'm a God with a spot welder!! I once built almost the entire rear half of a 1978 260Z. Had to make the fender lips, taillight surrounds and everything by hand:eek:. No pics of that one tho. :(

And I'm on my third Fox Body 'Stang:) This is the quickest one I've owned so far and I still have some tuning and suspension to sort out.

The floorpans are bad, btu the exterior looks fairly straight. I had to make some patches for the floor of moms 71. I got into the car one day and my foot went straight through to the ground. :flintstonesstyle:

Every 510 I've ever seen has the mising gas pedal..I think it's amusing. I meant no offense:big grin: As long as you put in the same gauge metal as you cut out there should be no problem structurally. But I would probably fab up some kind of subframe connector just to make it more rigid. Unless you're gonna do a concours restoration you need the added stiffness to take advantage of the better tires that are available as compared to 20++ years ago. :)

yup... but subframe connectors.. those cant just be tossed together dont they have to actually work? :big grin:

I'm planning on getting a floor cut out from a less rusted 510

Almot any bracing you add to that chassis would help. When I did the ones in my Mustang I could tell a big difference as soon as took the first corner.:)
