This is the first Zelda game I've ever played and it was quite fun but I'll be damned if the ending wasn't disappointing. After just under 50 hours of gameplay to beat it I thought the ending was weak.

Add in the fact you have to watch through all the credits as well to get the full end of the story and I was pissed. Game endings just aren't the same as they used to be; either that or when I was younger any ending was great because I know I achieved something whereas now I'm older & based on the depth of the games expect more from the ending.

    :hs:

Can you give me any advice on how to fish?

I bought the game when I bought my Wii (like a year ago at this point) and upon playing the game immediatly got hung up on the fishing.

In the very beginning (before you leave the village) you have to catch a fish so you can give it to the cat. You are fishing without bait.
I sit there for hours holding the controller various ways trying to get it to fish.

    Any advice at all?

I am at the point where I am seriously considering renting the Gamecube version just so I can play the game.

when you feel the wiimote shake, you have to quick whip the wiimote up. if you're too slow (which was my problem at first) the fish will get away

Zelda endings have always been kind of lackluster, maybe excluding Wind Waker since I never played it much, let alone finish it.

The enjoyment in the game is focused more on the adventure and less on the plot.

Funny, I enjoyed the ending more than the rest of the game.

Thanks for the advice, I will give it a shot.

Was funny cause when I picked up the game everyone was like, 'Dude Zelda is incredible. The fishing in it is the best part!'.

The fishing really pisses me off. How you can't progress without fishing is the worst part.

Seriously, 50 hours of game play and the ending was like 2 minutes long...and was exactly what I thought was going to happen which was a bit disappointing.

Pfft. I got the game on launch date, and I have yet to beat it.

I put it in every 4-5 months or so, and then when I try to play, I forget where I am at in the game, and what I have to do lol.

I thought the same thing about Ocarina of Time. I beat the end boss and the credits start to roll. wtf? That's like watching a Rocky movie where as the bell rings on a knockout the credits start to roll.

I was so into it when I first got it. Was amazed at how cool everything was and Wii had just come out so that was cool on top of it. But then after about 10 hours I found myself playing it less and less and literally havent touched it since that first month that it came out which was what....almost 3 years ago now?! Shit...maybe I should pull that one back out. That was during a time where too much shit was coming out and I got all scatterbrained and didnt finish anything assuming I'd go back sometime...and just never did. Mario Galaxy, Bioshock, Zelda....I've got a few others I've been meaning to go back to..plenty on Wii actually. Wow it took 50 hours?
