The rubber seal looks good but it keeps hydrating my desiccant in only 2 months.

I hope all my primers are OK. :wtc:

load a primer into a sized empty case (with no bullet or powder. If your on a progressive like a dillon it maybe easier to load a complete round, then pull the bullet and empty the powder).

Hand load this primed and sized case into your gun. (hand load it into the chamber then drop the slide or bolt on it.) Point it muzzle down into some shop rags and pull the trigger. If it lights it'll make a muffled pop like a airsoft gun. It will not cycle the bolt or slide. This is strictly to test if it will light a primer. This is what we do at the shop to test prototype parts or trigger jobs.

I think I might go out to the range tomorrow so I'll load up a primered only case and check it.

My friend has a 5 lb sack of desiccant that I will be making some packets with.

you can check it at home or in your back yard (with empty primed case without bullet and powder. It really is not loud at all. Just make sure you push the muzzle strait down into some folded shop rags. Put the rags on a table, not your hand of course. It'll make a soft pop noise like a airsoft gun.

If your going out to the range you might as well shoot a loaded round.

I'd still try the primer-only round first. Squibs suck ass.
