I would personally get glass. What is your shooting style, do you use the 50 the most, the 18mm or the 100-200mm. Personally I love shooting at 18mm so I am going to be getting the Sigma 10-20 next. I love shooting wide and I think its a lot of fun. I am also considering getting a 35 f/2 and then getting rid of my 18-70. a 10-20, 35, and 50 sound great to me. That leaves room for a nice telephoto in the future.

im into shooting landscapes/nature and starting to get into portraits/strobist stuff. i have always like the look of wide angle shots that look deep in perspective. i would say if i were to buy the price range would be upto $700ish

    i'd say a wide angle.

I have a Nikon D50 with the following lenses:

    - Sigma 10-20mm
    - Nikkor 18-55mm
    - Nikkor 50mm f/1.8
    - Nikkor 80-200 f/2.8
    - Tamron 2x TC

The Sigma is great to have around :coold:

That review walks through both lesnes (and a few other wide angles)

I love my sigma. A friend has the Tamron and I like the colors on mine better.

Since I haven't shot the Nikon, I can't say for sure.

I love it. I know a few others here have it too.

Can't beat the price either :dunno:

It totally depends on what you want to shoot though. I love being able to capture huge landscapes and just getting unusual shots with the wide angle.

I believe I paid about $430 or something... but that was over a year and a half ago.

They're cheap enough that i would just buy a new one. I believe I got mine from either amazon.com or jr.com

//edit: just be sure to get the Nikon mount. They make the same lens for canon cameras
