Had been dating since July 17th, had a fight on Thursday about how she keeps her emotions and feelings bottled up until she has an emotional breakdown. Thought about it all weekend. Coupled with the fact that she wants kids and a family ASAP (I'm 23, she's 24) and I don't think I ever want kids, or at least not till I'm 30, that we were just wasting our time.

Just wanted a place to vent :sadwavey:

It was my first real serious relationship, so I'm kinda emo right now :hs:

    Sorry bro.
Don't take it so hard as you actually were not ready for what she wanted.

I think it was for the best; I laid out what I was thinking to her over the phone, and it came a lot easier than I thought it would. I'm kinda emo right now, but at the same time I'm not taking it too hard - no crying or anything

Well, it sounds like you did the right thing. You were just at two different places in your lives and staying together would only worsen the breakup to come.

Get out, go see friends, go to the gym, meet new women. That wasn't that long of a relationship, it's ok, you did the right thing.

Sounds like you made the right choice.
It's also gonna be hard for me to have another serious relationship since I don't want kids (22 now) until at least 35 and it seems most women want them sooner.

You only dated 5 months, you'll be over her by January if you don't contact her.

Sorry to hear it, but that's an excellent reason to breakup, you know? Oh well, move on from it by not talking to her at all. Get out, enjoy your life because you are still young.

sometimes crying helps. I hadnt cried in years until my, just like you, first real relationship ended. I kept it bottled up inside and tried to be pissed or angry. It all built up one day and I cried like a bitch for a couple mins. Havent cried since, wont cry again until something fucked up happens. I just dont cry.

Ill be the first to say - A GOOD CRY FEELS GOOD.

    :werd: DO IT.

I thought I could handle friendly communication. Nope. After a month of being apart, she and I agreed mutually that we would cut of contact completely. SHE has slipped up a few times looking for a shoulder to cry on, and it always gives me a god damn glimmer of false hope every time she does. 2 weeks solid now with no interruptions, and Im OK :noes:

    GOOD FOR YOU!

Ex broke up with me, and we spent a couple months trying to friends. Then we started hooking up and acted like we were dating for about 3 months (sleep overs, sex, saying i love you) and that just got too stressful because we didn't know what the rules were, lol and it kinda blew up.
Been 2 weeks without any communication whatsoever.
