Me and the gf just purchases two macbooks yesterday and are enjoying them quite a bit already.

Wondering though if anybody knows of any good mac websites? Basically we are completely new to Macs and even learning the various useful commands (just figured out copy and paste and how to open tabs in browsers) would be incredibly useful to us at the moment.

Anyway any suggestions would be great for sites, widgets, heck software, anything people find useful.

Oh one other question what's a good MS Money type program for macs? That is the one thing we both are missing from our old laptops.

first do a search for "essential mac software"

by the way: mac software is a little different from PC software. if you want to do a specific task, you can usually find a free peice of software to do it well...and that software will usually have a "pro" version that will give you more features. as you get more mac-ish you'll find yourself buying the pro versions.

    use http://osx.iusethis.com to find software.

i'll tell you what i use day to day:

    firefox beta
quicksilver for all things. alllll things.
    pixelmator in place of photoshop
    transmission or azureus for bittorrent
VLC and perian will let you play all types of video files.
isquint (or, pay for visualhub) for video converting
    pencil (replacement for mspaint!)
    cyberduck for FTP
    appdelete for deleting programs completely

feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions. i switched a little while ago and i've been learning more and more every day.

also, if you're in direct sunlight or in a really dark room....press CTRL + OPTION + COMMAND + 8
