    I just got a kit from B&H:
    Nikon D60
    18-55 VR lens
    55-200 VR lens

What else should I get to hook her up? I don't really know much. I've heard UV filters, battery grips, tripods, all that... which ones are necessities, etc.

She's going to school for photography atm.

bag, memory, cleaning supplies. i'd leave the rest up to her- i know most people are picky with their gear, and it all really depends on their shooting style.

I'd let her pick everything else out honestly. I'd say take her somewhere where she can use the camera. Don't buy her accessories she may/may not like/use.

Should have got the 18-200mm VR instead of those two lenses. While they're both decent enough lenses, she'll grow tired really quick of having to switch between the two.

If you already have an 8gig card, i wouldn't worry about another one. I think you're set for now. Like others have said, let her play with it and then decide what else she wants.

yep, that's the one. It's basically a combination of the two lenses you got her already... but with the added bonus of not having to switch them out if you want to go wide vs. zoom.

If you have the option of returning or selling the 18-55 and 55-200 and then upgrading to the 18-200, i'd say go for it.

I know people don't really like Ken Rockwell, but he does a decent job reviewing the lens:

Also, here's his comparison between the 18-200 and 55-200:
