    and it's already broken.
The LCD display won't turn on.
And this weekend I was going to do all the dirty work like download/install softwares, transfer video/music files, personalize the desktop, etc too.

that sucks, does pressing f2 do anything?

when i bought my macbook, the display had a bunch of flickering pixels that would be there sometimes and disappear when i needed them to be there(so i could show the mac genius)
ended up being the cord...2 weeks later i finally got my 1 week old macbook back. it kinda ruined my thanksgiving break

you could hook up an external monitor and work on the mbp, but if you send it in for exchange, they might just give you new one - so it might be time wasted

I tried F2. That's what Applecare technician told me to do. Still nothing. Thanks for the helps though. My bro thinks it might be connection error in the hardware.

Let us know if they had another remedy for you. Unless they just traded it out.

Actually. When I showed them the problem today, the LCD display turned on. I looked stupid in front of them. Maybe it was because the laptop was too cold? My house gets really cold at night. They said if it happens again and know when it exactly happens then I can exchange it.

Haha. Yeah. SD never gets "too cold". But I was in Bakersfield when that happened. Anyways. I figured out it's not the cold temperature. How long does it take for the LCD display to turn on after it wakes up from sleep? Instantly right? Because after a 30 min or more of sleep, the LCD display won't turn on until after 10 - 15 min. And after the LCD turns on and I put it to sleep for 10 secs, it lags for 5 min to turn on.
