Does it have the super wank spec suspension? Or is that only on the TURBO VR4 model? (my cousins got that)

I'm afraid you bought the wrong car, friend. Enjoy it while it works, get a back-up Civic for when it don't.

I've owned a '95 SL, a '92 Stealth, and currently own a '93 VR-4. All three have been great cars, all things considered. Treat the car nicely, and it'll treat you nicely. Beat the piss out of it, and it will steal your wallet while you're sleeping.

You said it's got 120k--so you need to do a complete overhaul, if it hasn't been done already. That will include (at minimum), timing belt, water pump, TENSIONERS AND PULLEYS (this is mandatory on mitsubishis), oil pump, and I strongly suggest replacing the main/rod bearings as well, as they have the tendency to spin (thus scoring the crank) at higher mileages.

I strongly suggest you become a member in the forums over at www.3si.org, tons of good information there, you just have to search and READ READ READ. Good luck with the new car, they can be a real blast!

<--- Has had no troubles at ALL with his 1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 in 5 years.

The only time I had trouble was when I busted my tranny at the track (done plenty street and track runs prior).

I've owned it since 56,000 miles, I'm now at 134,000 miles. No major issues other than regular maintenance.
