    Yay for me!

It's been long overdue, but my 400MHZ G4 Mac that I'm currently using is going out the door and in comes my new Mac Mini 1.66GHZ on Thursday!

I ordered 2Gigs of RAM from Crucial and a Logitech Wireless Keyboard/Mouse.

Also, I bought a WD 500GB My Book for extra space!

    Can't wait!

Has anyone seen any decently priced (all I've seen are $40+) Mac Mini stands that I can place my monitor on?

Is there any must haves I should get other than the RAM? Yay...pictures to come once I get it (as if no one has seen it). :mamoru:

i will most likely get one if they ever step it up to core2duo. i'd love to know how long it takes for you to convert a single layer dvd to an xvid in mediafork

anyone with a mini want to test it out for me? (maybe a comparison between reading off a single layer disk compared to a video_ts folder?)
    settings:
    fileformat : avi
codec: mpeg 4 with ac-3 audio
    framerate: same as source
    encoder: xvid
    average bitrate: 1400
    no 2-pass, no grayscale
    keep aspect ratio

under audio tab : should be 5 channel, 44.1, and 128bit

same here. Hopefully they'll use better than a GMA900 video chip.

    congrats on purchase :bigthumb:

I don't like stands for monitors tho'. I like my monitor to be as low as possible.
