For $80 that's not bad at all. I need to get one, but I keep spending all my money on guns.

My AR and Mosin are in my big rifle cases on the top shelf of my closet so I figured I could get this and free up a lot of space in there. Not too worried about theft, I know this could be broken into in about 5min by a criminal (guns are insured), just wanted to keep the guns safe from the kiddies.

Might have to check out the new dick's near me tommorow then see if they got same deal, holding off on buying a 2nd full blown safe, for $80 I wouldn't mind one of those to toss my C&R's under my bed in. All sheet metal right?

Yeah its all pretty thick metal, feels solid, it weighs prolly 50-60lbs. I wanted a full blown safe, but money right now is going to be tight with the baby coming in 4weeks and a couple days :noes: and I didnt really have room for a full size one

Damn, we don't even have a Dick's here. I'm holding off on getting a full blown safe until I buy a house. I damn sure don't want to have to move one.

I saw similar ones at walmart in store.. but this one had a tad more capacity than the walmart one for about the same price.

I might need to go check out Wal Mart then. I only own 4 guns atm anyway, so I don't need something huge.

I am planning on maybe making a gun rack for my dads gun room as soon as I get it cleaned.
I dont think my designs are too bad at all. If I ever get on the ball, Ill post a project thread on here and provide my diagrams, if you guys can read my handwriting and drawings that is.
Ive been told before that notes and stuff I write to myself make no sense to people
Atleast sane ones that is ;)

My collection consists of my AR15, 1903A3, Colt 1911, and a Remington 597. An AK and a Remington 870 police magnum will be joining them soon. I also have to decide what I'm gonna get for a carry gun this January. Too many guns, not enough money.

Going by Dicks on my way into work this afternoon if they have them going to pick one up. For $80 I rather have 2 of these then a 6" deep 12 gun one, wouldn't even be able to store any guns with a mag in them in that.

I set it up today and its perfect for what I needed. I dont see how I would ever fit anywhere near 10 guns, but I like it.

Was inspired by this thread to go to Wals Mart and look at what they had locally.
Found this 10 gun cabinet for $150 and thought to myself thats just not right. Take a closer look and the price tag says 14 gun cabinet. Look over and theres a 14 gun one for the same price. Call the guy over and low and behold the cabinet I was looking at was really $80
Took a look around at the accessories like I usually do. And as usual, even with the hunting season they still dont have anything that catches my eye.
Although I did find a sentinel handgun lockbox for $20

I think Im going to drill the top of the cabinet and bolt the lockbox on.
Then drill a hole in the back, put a rubber grommet in it, and then mount a 12'' flourescent light on the bottom of the shelf, so I can get to my guns in the middle of the night without turning any lights on.

Imbert and Smithers in San Carlos. They have a safe stack-on (not a cabinet) for a couple hundred.

hey, when are we having that bay area meet at the range.

Almost bought the same one at Academy this weekend. Only thing that kept me from getting it is the lack of extra shelves. Only have one rifle and don't plan on getting but maybe 2-3 more. For me it would be wasted space. I need one that has shelves and rifle space and doesn't cost the price of a gun itself.
