I bought it from Dell and I only want to be able to go out, take pics, upload them to my computer, and repeat. What do I need to buy other than a flash card for this? Also, how many pictures can I store on my camera with a 512 MB card? Sorry, I tried to wade theough the FAQ/wikipedia, but to no avail. Thanks in advance.

The camera will come with a USB cable so you'll just hook it up to the computer and upload; no need to buy anything. I use a card reader so that I just take the compact flash card out and plug it in, rather than leaving the camera on.

As far as the number of shots a 512mb card will hold, it'll depend on what resoultion you're shooting on. If you're shooting at 3-5 mp, probably 150-200 shots.

storage size depends on the settings of the camera. the above mentioned is about right. I can get approx. 290 photos on my d70 at 6mp in normal mode.
