    uh...

What do you shoot? They go anywhere from 14mm to 800mm (semi-realistically).

    16-35 II for cars, 85 1.2 for girls, or the 24-70 2.8.

What about the 100-400L? If you do surfing stuff I'm assuming there's plenty of light, and the extra reach might be handy on the full frame. What camera did you come from? Crop of FF?

Canon makes a wrist/hand strap but I hate it personally. I know others love it. :dunno:

if I was shooting stuff on the beach or on water.. I'd want a weather-sealed lens

so 70-200/4L and 100-400/4.5-5.6L are both out.

    I said "if I"

I've used my 70-200/4L on the beach before.. if you have some time for it to acclimate to the weather, not so bad.. as long as sand doesn't get in and it doesn't get wet. but when I go from inside to outside, shit fogs up for like half an hour

would suck to miss a shot cause the lenses aren't weather-sealed

I thought the F4L was sealed... Is there somewhere you can find a list of what lenses are sealed and which aren't?

    I think it's all current L lenses except for the 70-200/4L, 70-200/2.8L and 100-400/4.5-5.6L

the 70-200 IS lenses are weather-sealed.

Really, I thought all of the L's were sealed, just thought some needed a UV filter to complete the seal.

Probably. If they dont, just return it and buy it the way you want it.

No. Only a handful of them are actually weather sealed.
