    there nice

i work @ a local shop, and from time to time the Lacie rep. walks in for a chat. supposdly the porsche drive is just supposed 2 look nice and offer lacie an entry into the low end PC market. performance numbers aren't to great, the unit doesnt even have a fan to cool it. a word of advice, porsche drives are nice for cheap stylish back up, but your a pro, or @ all into video, audio, or graphics look into Lacie's Extreme line of drives, specs dont lie and they perform about 50% better than the porsche line.

too late, but thanks for the info.
I might be selling it soon. I didnt need it for anything more than an emergency back up.
And i like bus powered devices, rather than externally powered :sad2:
