i needed a truck for my job and i picked this up for 2,000:

    1996 f-150 xl, 5.0l V8, 150k miles, regular cab, short bed, bedliner

i just put on some new tires, any other things you guys would recommend i get checked out around this mileage or any mods you would recommend?

co workers have told me i could get it running pretty quick, given the type of engine in it. any suggestions? thanks.

ok well i put on the intake no problem.

the fucking bolts for the exhaust and manifold are so fucked up that i snapped one connecting my exhaust to the manifold trying to turn it to put my exhaust and headers on. i even soaked it in pb blaster and torched it....any other tips on how to get these off so i dont break one in the block?

You'll never break one in the block. The manifolds bolt to the heads :mamoru:

Heat and PB are the only things that work well. Maybe it's not hot enough? Good luck, and nice purchase
