In the last couple of weeks there has been more and more people usin' their jump rope in the gym. They (groups of 3 duders) do it like a foot or two from where I do my squats and deadlifts. It fuckin' annoys me.

    You?

Yeah, I don't care if they enjoy jumpin' rope for their cardio. Yet these guys just seem to last for 5-10 seconds at a time, then pass the rope to a buddy. They try to see how many times they can spin the rope around in one jump.

We have a big gym, but you really don't have a lot of room to mess around in between each lift station. I'm pretty tempted to take pics for proof of how close these guys get to other people around them.

Its very good for cardio. try it, and you'll see. after 5 minutes or so you really get going.

plus it adds a dynamic that running doesnt...so its not so boring.

I've been trying to jump rope but find it hard. I think I look gay when I do it.. Because I do it in front of the house and all the neighbors start looking at me.

Do they say "Can't get mad, not touching you. Can't get mad, not touching you" over and over again?

But it's the funniest sight in the gym :mamoru: I can get a good half-hour on the treadmill done while fascinated by people jumping rope, and missing, and bumping into shit, and hitting other people with the rope, and so on.

Jumping up and down in one place is less boring than running from point A to point B?
