"Practical Rifle" is a club run event that's been around for more than 10 years. It's put together by black rifle enthusiasts at a local Oregon club, and stresses "practical" uses of rifles. As the cop who ran the safety briefing said, doesn't matter if you use your rifles for your job, for home defense, for fun, or are just a crazy and paranoid lunatic, the goal of these matches is to help rifle shooters learn or gain something. As such, the rules are kept relatively simple, and everything is left up to the discretion of the match director. Targets were between 50 to 200 yards, and mostly steel. I can't judge distance for shit, and I choked a few times. I had the worst showing out of the WMDers, but there is always next time, lol. Market_Garden and I rolled down to this and helped set up at 7:30 in the morning after a 3.5 hour drive from Seattle. At the match, we met Keesh, HossB7, and Keesh's buddy. These pictures were taken with my cheap point and shoot digi-cam, I'm sure Keesh's pictures will be far more entertaining. Got 47 photos, most are boring shots of us shooting, so i've made some select postings. Must go sleep. BTW: I'm pretty sure i'm OCD, love cleaning my rifle as much as i like shooting it.
