I was looking through the WMD links sticky to find/build a cheap AR or AK and downloaded this catalog. They have a lot of kits and it says it includes everything needed to make a stripped lower into a functional rifle. I've never heard of them before. I was looking at this kit, but I don't know about the quality of this place. Anybody know?

Edit: I'm open to other suggestions if this place is no good or you know of a cheaper place to get kits/parts

I had a 11.5" J&T upper. Never had any problems.
    They're definitely worth the price.

    sooo
    $545 flattop kit
    $155 RRA stripped lower
    $ 95 for detach handle
    $795 total

I guess that's like $180 cheaper than buying the Entry Tactical from RRA. Thought I could do it for cheaper than that :o Maybe I should check arfcom equipment exchange.

Is your price a chrome lined barrel?

nope. add $50 for chrome lined. so it's like the same. did you get your entry tactical off of arfcom? the price on RRA's site is like $975 plus $40 for chrome lined. i just got on arfcom's equipment exchange and there's a dealer that has complete lowers w/6 position stock for $225 and complete uppers with detach handle for $510. $735 isn't bad.

I got a complete rifle from Legal transfers and mine has the tactical rail too, he gives you a couple different options for that.

I am just not sure about warrenty if you buy the two parts together or separate, but RRA lifetime warrenty the whole gun

It already has a rail/sight, why do you need an actual handle? And why does it HAVE to be a chrome lined barrel?

$765 is flat top (good if you are just putting a scope on it), if you want a handle or a rail to mount like a Eotech or Aimpoint too, or just a carry handle

Chrome lined barrel is better :o

u can't just shoot with the front sights. the rear sights are incorporated into the handle.

Yes, I'm aware of that :ugh:

From the picture, It has as rear sight attachment, despite not having the actual carry handle.

I am looking at the flat top, and I dont see a rear sight :noes:

    IBhethinksthetacticalrailyouhavetopayforisaflattop

Look at my pic above, that is a tactical rail.. a flattop has no rear sight becuase you would only do that if you were buying a scope

Ok maybe I'm not explaining what I'm looking at. Look at the two circled parts on the pics below. On the top one, it has the handle, And I circled where the rear sight is. On the bottom picture, I circled that thing sticking up, which looks very similar to the part of the handle i circled on the top picture. If that's not the rear sight, what is it?

    If i'm wrong please clarify

Bottom picture is a tactical rail not a flat top.. that rail on the bottom one is extra $$$, but yes you do get a rear sight.

The bottom here is a flat top which is useless unless you scope it.. no rear sight
