    Anyone used JRuby?

Looking at using JRuby/MERB for a project. Need native Java libs to do things cleanly with Hadoop/HBase, but building web apps in Java is like slamming your balls in a safe - so want a dynamic language as well. Seems like JRuby could be a cleaner way than having a Java part using restlet and a web part in Ruby/Python/Perl. JRuby/MERB seems like an ideal compromise.

    Anyone used it?
