how much was the shell? How much do you expect the car to cost once everything is up and running?

  13. 70k is nothing, especially if it's been properly maintained.

4700 for the shell, it's... OK.
I'd like it to be cleaner but it's not.

Motor itself is identical, put an LS6 intake manifold on it and an aftermarket intake. Y2K vs. 2K1 is nothing to worry about.

Ah, I thought you meant the motor/trans were eff'd. That sucks about the glued on shit but such is a project car. Best of luck; the hardest part is trying not to cut corners, easier said than done for sure.

I HATE the fucking skirts. I actually like the front bumper in person, but I don't know how to get those skirts off, it's a black bead of silicone or glue or something under them.

try taking a heatgun to them. see if the adhesive will soften up enough to pull the skirts off. then just use a shitload of rubbing alcohol or 3M tar remover to get the glue off.
