1938 All numbers matching M38, it's been counterbored and glassbedded to the ATK camo stock, also came with the SKS sling and original stock.
Can't wait to shoot this fucker, I bet it packs a little kick.
    :hsd:

BTW: Cash and carry C&R deals soooooo don't feel legal.

    Yes, as did the seller.
I'm not sure what the stock was originally for, except there's unused holes, and it's an awesome fit.

I've been trying to find a reasonably-priced M38 for a while but I'm not finding any. :hs: I'll probably end up with a M44 just because they're cheap and plentiful... But I really want a M38.

Maybe more? I usually hunt with a bolt .270 win, a semi auto 30-06, or a boly .338 win mag, I hope it's not more then the .338 :noes:

Well the 30-06 is semi, lots of moving parts to take the impact.

I bought it for a buddy, he wants to go deer hunting. I don't want him using my two good CA deer guns, so I picked this up for him. He can't shoot more then a round of trap (25 rounds) with a 12gauge.

    He's gonna hate me.

i remember seeing a weaver base for like $15-25... I'd do that and then just get a basic bushnell 3-9x40 or something.

    Lots of options.

    http://www.tickbitesupply.com/mos.html

This one replaces rear iron sight and requires a long-relief scope:
$19.99 Mosin Rear Site Scout Scope Mount

This one replaces rear iron sight but is longer so you can use a traditional rifle scop:
$22.99 Mosin Rear Site Scout Scope Mount Long Length

This one mounts in the traditional location. Requires drill/tap. Includes a new turned-down bolt handle.
    $49.99 Mosin Scope Mount System

    http://www.overstock.com/Sports-Toy...&fp=F&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=10808794-000-000
$12.99 Same as "Long" mount above, but cheaper

You guys who are saying the Mosin kicks too much must be pussies :mamoru:

My wife shot my M44 loaded with 185gr Brown Bear and she said it was nothing. Keep in mind my wife is 5'5" and weighs about 120 :hsughno:

BTW, I just ordered some of the milsurp heavy ball off ammotogo; I bet shooting that will be fun :naughty:
