We just got a mac pro in for our graphics person but are having problems joining it to the domain. Apparently there is some serivce called Bonjour that has something to do with .local and brodcast messages from new hp printers and such using Rendezvou. When I tried to diable this this plug in, it is shaded out so i can't modify it at all. The only solution that I found was some kind of software thats about 150 dollars. Is there anything other then using this software that I can use to get around this problem so we can join it to our .local domain?

Bonjour and Rendezvous (former name for Bonjour) is Apple's implementation of Zeroconf networking. Where are you trying to disable Bonjour?

because it intercepts an messages that have something to do with a .local domain name. And because our domain is setup as "domain.local" we can not join it.
