Jogging excessiveness?

  1. Well, as of late (2 weeks specifically) I've been running/jogging nonstop every night at least 2 1/2 miles a day. Even though I get a bit of shin splints after the runs, I ice them and they go away and feel fine for the next running session. Is it bad to continously jog everyday or should I have some rest days in there? I mean like if I can physically handle it and want to do it, I can right?
