I swear that last night was some of the worst commentary I have heard. They both seemed a little slow on the play by play and to top it off. Rogan messed up words or stuttered many times. The post fight breakdown he appeared very drunk. It kind of suprises me since the UFC is getting to the status where even ESPN is covering it. I cant imagine Dana White being happy with his commentator appearing drunk on national television.

When is his commentary any good? :ugh2: From everyone I know who follows UFC, he is their single biggest complaint as far as the fight card/production EVERYTIME.

I think if you gave Mean Gene Okerlund a 30 minute crash course is fight positions and submission names he would do a better job his first time out. I like Rogan as a comedian sometimes, but not as a UFC announcer. :nono:

He's one of the best announcers out there. If they get rid of anyone it needs to be Goldberg. He's got a good voice but he's annoying as all hell. They sooo should have replaced him with [SIZE=-1]Mauro Ranallo when they took over Pride. That would have made me very happy.

I have no problem with Rogan announcing, and neither does anyone I know.

 I didn't say he isn't knowledgable, but ride his sack because he trains. I rather have people like Randy who are not on the card that particular event doing commentary than listen to Rogan.

I love couture but I think that Rogan is much more colorful and entertaining to listen to as far as commentary goes.

Goldberg is fuckign awful, but rogan is good at what he is there for. I would rather see Goldy and Eddie Brove get sent packing and have Randy, Bas, or Josh Barnett in Goldy's place.

Rogan's an actor with martial arts knowledge. He did seem high or drunk 1 hr before the start of UFC at about 4:00 pm in the elevator, but he surprisingly cleaned up. He was all scruffy (with a beard) in his tank top with his tats covering both arms, more on the left arm though (completely covered). Fight started at 5:15pm PST, then the PPV event started later in the evening. But it was good, and Rogan shaved, put on a long sleeve and acted professional. If you saw him in the elevator, you'd be like, wow, what a diff.

I was watching it with friends last night and everyone likes the announcers.

I think the announcing is fine. I like both Rogan and Goldberg and I didn't notice anything different last night.

:werd: I like Rogan, but they sooo shoulda replaced Goldberg with Mauro. Goldberg kinda annoys me, he says some stupid shit sometimes

Bas commentating would be awesome though. Mauro, Rogan and Bas would make for some epic commentating imo.

have you never seen Joe Rogan before??? :ugh:
he always looks like he just got done burrying a hooker. and he doesnt have Martial Arts knowledge, the dude has trained a shit ton in BJJ(a lot of which under Eddie Bravo) and was some kind of TKD champ before he started acting and doing comedy.

Glad I could open up a discussion.

I personally like Rogan but he was under some influence last night. As far a Goldberg Ikid you not he was repeating almost verbatim my dumb downed sarcastic fight commentary.....

My friends watching it were wondering if my house was miked because he would repeat what I said like he was on adelay. It was actually kinda weird.

Rogan is the fucking man. To hell with you if you disagree.

Goldberg needs to go though. He's nothing more than Rogan's cheerleader. 80% of his so called comments are just questions directed at Joe.

Rogan is a purple belt as far as I understand. He's not some fucking chump they picked off the street to just roll up in there.

Last interview he said he is a Brown. He does nogi 3 days a week with Bravo and 1 day of gi with JJ Machado. (I am pretty sure that's what he said his schedule was).
