JL W3 already installed, how do I know the ohm-age?

My dad has a JL Audio stealth box with a JL 10W3. It's maybe 5 years old. Anyways the amp died and I need to find him a new one. I have no idea if the sub is DVC, SVC, 2 ohm, dual 4, whatever. Without unistalling the stealthbox, is there anyway I can know what impedance it's running at?

I suppose I could look up the model of the amplifier and find it that way, right?

BTW, stealth boxes are pretty sweet.

generally they're a 4ohm load. measure the impedence at the terminal cup with a meter.

how about at the place where the wires go into the amp? I don't have access to the terminal cup on the enclosure.

That is fine too, just unscrew the wire and measure from the resistance from them.
