Nice set.. What settings / lens were you using for the air shots?

I was shooting at A1 last weekend and was having a bitch of a time.

Hmmm, maybe you just aren't used to shooting MX. It's hard for a lot of people. Try AV and shoot at like 5.6 with 3-400 iso. Let the camera worry about shutter speed so you can then try framing the action. Always pan with the rider as they jump. :bigthumb:

hah. I'd take the 7D or a 1DIV. I really hate the MP and ISO of my camera. :hs:

    Thanks

Good to hear. When shooting these guys, I know I'm going to be getting amazing shots every single time they hit the ramps or dirt hits. it's super nice compared to ams and pro ams.

    Thanks

Thanks. Fitzland is set in the hills of temecula california in wine country. Huge, bad ass mansions and one of the sickest FMX courses in the world. Mix the two together with the the best riders in the world and it makes for great photo opportunities.

    Also,

Check out my photos up on Mat Rebeaud's Blog. :wiggle:

Nice shots. I think I'm gonna try to shoot at Indy SX this year. Hopefully getting track access from my buddy at Fox. I've been practicing with shutter priority for MX though. Guess I'll give aperture a shot.

the set is great. but a little bit sense of motion would have really made them flow. AI servo ( if you are a canon guy ) pan, and slow that shutter JUST a little

    thats my only tip

    again, great set!

Thanks bud. Those were my favs as well
    :bigthumb:

    Thanks
Good Luck. I still cant get a vest to shoot on the floor. Hopefully soon though.

I'm not really a huge fan of showing motion. I like to keep my shutter speeds high to freeze the motion.

    Thanks.

I think the shutter speed is fine. I mean, if you can't tell that these dudes aren't movin', then I don't know what to tell ya.
